On October 4, 2012, Hilong Oil Service & Engineering Co., Ltd was invited to attend annual HSE Forum convened by Nigeria Project Party A SPDC. The attendants included senior executives of SHELL (CEO, Vice President, Vice President in charge of HSE), senior executives of its subsidiary SPDC, and general managers, deputy general managers and HSSE managers of each contractor. At the meeting, Hilong received SPDC commendation and was awarded Outstanding HSSE Management Medal.
Since its establishment, Hilong Nigeria Project strictly implemented all HSE policies and rules formulated by the Headquarters and Party A, and drafted a series of HSSE management measures by taking into account its own actual conditions, which enabled it to receive satisfactory results in aspects of personnel safety, and environmental protection. Nigeria Project now has HL-2 and HL-19 2000HP drilling rigs, since the start of operation, LTI was zero, there is no personal injury or casualty in the whole year. In view of the above outstanding performance in HSSE work, Hilong Nigeria Project Company was invited to attend this time’s HSSE Forum; Project General Manager Chen Jüqing introduced HSSE work at the meeting, and received the medal. Hilong is also among a few contractors eligible to deliver speech and receive medals at the meeting from 50 plus SPDC contractors.
This time’s medal awarding provides ample evidence that Hilong Nigeria Project’s HSSE work has won Party A’s acknowledgement, which lay down solid foundation for further developing SPDC market. Meanwhile, Hilong’s HSSE management performance also deeply impressed Party A’s other contractors, which will provide potential opportunities for future follow-up cooperation.
