In March 2012, Hilong Petropipe Co., Ltd in Canada (Hailong Canada) and Hilong International Drill Pipe Co., Ltd in UAE (Hailong Middle East) respectively were awarded orders with milestone significance, their sales recorded breakthrough results.
Canada Hilong received Trinidad order
Since the end of 2011, Hilong Canada Team had been communicating with Trinidad Drilling, the third largest drilling company in Canada, over its purchase needs for 2012 through its partner SES. Trinidad boasts huge influence in the Canadian market, this time’s purchase program was characterized by high-end products and huge quantity, for this reason many big international corporations one after another joined the bid contest, resulting in extremely fierce competition.
Against such background, after careful analysis, Canada Hilong changed its quotation guideline, and strategically adjusted prices of a range of different products, and again communicated with Trinidad with the help of SES.
With unremitting efforts, the Canadian team finally clinched almost all products in Trinidad’s purchase list for 2012. Up till March 2012, Hilong Canada had received orders valued at 3.9 million USD including anti-sulfur drill pipe, X95R2 steel grade drill pipe, 6 1/2" drill collar, and 8" drill collar.
Wherein, the anti-sulfur drill pipe adopted Hilong double shoulder adaptor and anti-sulfur coating, this marked the first time that Hilong integrated anti-sulfur drill pipe, double shoulder adaptor, and anti-sulfur coating into one product to sell to the Canadian market; the final user is the third largest drilling company in Canada with tremendous influence.
This order signified that Hilong’s high-tech and high added value products have made significant breakthroughs in the Canadian market.
Hilong Middle East received order from Key Energy
Key Energy, the customer of Hilong Middle East, is a drilling contractor, its business activities are distributed worldwide, and is particularly active in the Middle East.
Middle East Hilong started contact with Key Energy in 2009, and acquired opportunity to develop constant commercial and technical exchange.
Thanks to untiring efforts, Hilong Middle East was finally awarded a bid recently in a project of OXY, the second largest petrol company in Oman.
Because of the urgent delivery date demanded by the customer, this project nearly became a mission impossible. Nevertheless, the sales team of Hilong Middle East didn’t lose heart, after many times of communication with the customer, and close negotiations with raw material suppliers, it finally clinched the order, whose total amount was about USD 2.50 million.
After the Middle East Company became totally owned by Hilong, the signing of this order greatly boosted team moral!
